Have had my 24 plate etron since March, just lately having quite a few issues. Latest is when I try and put the heating on via the myAudi app to warm the car before any journey it comes up with “ Failed to protect the battery”. The battery has plenty of charge and a few weeks ago this function did work. Any ideas anyone.?

I have exactly the same problem. Started yesterday. Is it a coincidence that it is the first “cold” morning of winter which is the time when you would want to use this feature? It was only -2 degrees.

This didn’t happen last winter so Audi has changed something. As the “owner” you should be able to do what you want.

Not seen this on my car (yet) and had the remote climate control on this morning at -4. Mine is a 2021 car though so it may not have the latest software. Just as a thought, I had a 50 mile journey yesterday evening that saw me get home at around 9.15 pm. I wonder if this could have heated the battery enough sop that when I went to remote start the climate control the batteries were slightly warmer than they would have been?

The car did have an 80 mile journey yesterday so it should have been warm enough you would have thought.

I have exactly the same issue, started recently. I have noticed you can still start the auxiliary heating on a timer if set on the car directly so this seems like an issue in the app.
