Emergency Charging Mode

I hope everyone is well.

Last night when we went to plug our Q4 in, we saw that the charging indicator light next to the cable was intermittently blinking green and red.

Checking on the app showed that it was only pulling 1kw compared to its usual of 7kw. We’ve tried the cable for the 3 pin plug and also tried plugging into a commercial high speed charger. Neither of those worked.

Today when we looked at it, it was not better - some research suggests that this might be “emergency charging mode”, where the car reduces the input to protect itself. Others have said it’s because it’s cold -6C in the UK, but given the car is German made, I can’t see the temperature being an issue.

Has anyone come across something similar, what might have caused it and how can I fix it? It seems very odd to me.

Same thing here, I think.
Plugged in for a couple of hours overnight but only put 3% charge on (should have been 20% over two hours).
Haven't tried again since, but could well be temperature related (-10° around here).
Warming up now this week, so will see if full power returns.
