Re: Software Update
I bought my Q4 35 in August 2021. Just had the two year service and they applied the software update. All seemed to go well. Took just a couple of days. My issues with the MMI seem to be fixed. The privacy notice can be dismissed permanently and there are various new functions, such as scheduled cha...

Re: Software Update
Took my car in to service centre yesterday. They seemed confident they could fix the privacy notice issue. Not surprisingly they couldn’t figure it out, so nothing is fixed on that front. The technician said he thought some big software updates are coming in February, but I am not holding my breath....

Re: Ordered Feb22, no car still, but been offered a new BMW X6, what’s your thoughts?
I can understand the temptation in getting something new and shiny now rather than waiting an unknown time for something else, but buying a diesel now seems bonkers to me - noisy, smelly, slow, polluting etc. The fact they have one spare to offer you seems to emphasise they are yesterdays’s technolo...

Re: Home Charging for a newbie
There shouldn’t be anything with the car preventing the charge. My suggestion is to call pod point customer service and have them talk you through the process step by step. Call on your mobile with some headphones on so you hands are free to carry out the steps they suggest. They can also tell you h...

Re: Audi on the new Apple Car Play List
This does look good to me. I wonder if the Q4s sold to date already have the hardware to support it. Even if it does, whether Audi then rolls it out for the current models will be another matter. At this point I’d just be happy to get rid of the guest user privacy warning and so I have little faith ...

Re: Audi App Issues
A response (copied below) that I received today from Audi Digital Services after I emailed them asking for an update on the software (and expressing my disappointment in the current features and functionality). Doesn’t give much info, but does seem to say that an update is coming, so fingers crossed...

Re: Hi , advice welcome !
I’ve had a Q4 for around 5 months. Started getting electrical warnings a few weeks ago. Now the powered boot door has stopped working. It’s booked in for repair. Don’t get sucked into the Audi build quality marketing nonsense. They are probably no worse than others, but their “reputation” is not a r...

Re: Electrical fault warning
So now my powered tailgate/boot has stopped working and I need to open and close manually with some effort. Not sure if it’s related to the electrical warning I had previously (which has not come back again…. yet). If anyone happens to know if there is a reset or something for the powered tailgate, ...

Re: Electrical fault warning
The fault notices went away after a day. I didn’t remember doing anything in particular to trigger it. It was very cold the morning it started (around freezing) but that’s all I remember. I am not doing anything further for now but will probably take that car to the service centre in the new year to...

Re: Electrical fault warning
This morning my car had an alert “Electrical system fault: Please contact workshop” and there is a yellow triangle with exclamation mark and also a yellow battery symbol. I’ll need to take it to the service centre for repair. What a pain in the butt. I owned an A4 about 15 years ago and it was a rea...
