Very jealous! I have emailed Audi to ask why we can't have this version of the software installed.

Sorry to say, but it does sound like a fault either with the car or the podpoint. You should be able to plug it in and have it charge as simply as you say.
I would see if you can try the car on another charger to see where the fault lies.

So surely if our hardware versions are the same, the software should run equally well on all vehicles, yet if you bought early you're stuck on version 3608 from march '21 with additional bugs and no charge scheduling and who knows what else.

I've found the child lock button seems to lock and unlock the rear temp control in unexpected ways. Have you tried toggling it on and then changing it?
