Should be picking my Sline 40 up in a couple of weeks. Should I be asking my Audi Dealer to set me up as Key User rather than try to do it myself? Thanks in advance.

I would have the app set up and you can add the car if you have the VIN. We did that and told the dealer the user details and they added us as the key user before we picked it up so was ready (or as ready as it is currently)

Another email from Audi!

Have I lost the plot?

We hope this email finds you well.

According to our database, the aforementioned service is available for your vehicle.

If you however do not find the option to set timer via your myAudi App kindly try to set the charging the timer via your vehicles' MMI.

Type 1 (you set the time on when you would like for the vehicle to be ready to go)

Turn the ignition on > on the MMI select the option "Car" > Charging and Efficiency > Charging > clock (icon) > Set time > Activate (enable)

Type 2 ( set desirable charging time)

Turn the ignition on > on the MMI select the option "Car" > Charging and Efficiency > Charging > Settings icon > Advanced charging settings > (+) icon > Address > You can name it > Press next > Preferred charging time > Enter the charging time from-until > next > profile is established, charging time is set.

We appreciate your cooperation and apologize for the inconvenience.

If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are available 24/7 and you can reach us either by calling the phone number 0800 279 2884 or by replying to this email.

Hi,

And another email received from Audi after I said these aren’t on the app or on the MMI.

We apologize for misunderstanding.

Kindly please provide us with following information in order for our technical team to further investigate your case:

Confirmation that you have deleted the myAudi app and reinstalled it again
Screenshot of your missing Timer option on your myAudi app under Charge Scheduling with visible timestamp

It's the same thing they tell everyone to do but the fact of the matter is that the functionality for scheduling (and many other remote functions, including profiles that will get rid of the blasted privacy splash screen every time you start the car) has not been enabled yet and we are all still waiting for the elusive update. It boggles the mind how Audi do not know there own products and their distinct inability to roll out a software update is quite frankly attrotious!

Hi,

Thanks, as that is what I tell them, but their answer is delete and reinstall the app and that’s a waste of time!

Like you said, why don’t they know what’s going on?

For those not aware, the Q4 platform and software is based on the VW platform and software and VW Id3/4 owners etc all have the same issues and the same complaints.

With that in mind and my best guess is we stop looking towards Audi for some answers and search VW, the next software release for the platform is 3.0 and its due to land in March (its confirmed loaded in the new id5 which will release in March). You can even find video's on youtube that shows the features that land next including talk of some extra range.

It would not suggest everything is the same but this link gives some useful insight around core features, clearly some bugs like user selection might be in the Audi GUI and those are for Audi to fix but I suspect its all the same team at VW fixing (or not fixing these).

That's a good shout actually, interesting to see if it updates in March...you would think having one platform would make things like this easier.
