Just charged today at an IONITY station and it was 69p kWh, if you pay £15 a month it drops to 30p kWh.
It might make sense if you did a LOT of driving, but then it might also make more sense to have a bigger battery
Worked out why you would want an e-tron charging account once your free credit runs out

I have activated my charge card yesterday and used a HPC charger today at my local Audi.
Anyone know much per kw that has cost me?
Using the zap map app or Podpoint app it tells me by location the cost of using each charger.
I can’t seem to find a simple answer anywhere on how much the Charger today will have charged me?
I really can’t see how it will be cost effective to continue after 12 months with the monthly subscription?

If you log into the e-tron site it should tell you, it's what I did above.

Thanks Tony
If I read it right, it cost me 41p per kw. Not excessive, but compared to podpoint 50 kw (no subscription fee) which costs 28p at Lidl or Tesco it doesn’t really look like a great deal we’re getting, does it?

Just wait until you start to get your monthly invoices, the taxes will soon gobble up your credit. VAT and German Taxes. £150, no probably closer to £80 free leccy.

Ditto Tony (well sort of, I’m in Dorset!). Our cottage owner has offered to lend me an extension lead to plug into the mains.
2 x times overnight 12 hourers will get me up to Max I figure ahead of the 165 mile journey home to the midlands on Friday
Not sure that's right, the invoice shows my credit being £112 but the dashboard shows £135 which is right as I used £15 in credit charging the other day at instavolt which ties with the 41p kw/h. I think the German vat is on the £16 per month for the service fee which is free so doesn't actually imapct the credit. Off on another long journey this weekend so will see what that does I guess but I do think it is £150 credit, the VAT is included in the per kWh price they just split it out for tax purposes.Sportback21 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 07, 2022 10:07 pmJust wait until you start to get your monthly invoices, the taxes will soon gobble up your credit. I'd like to think/hope you are right, I have used the charging service 3 times,
I can't upload the screenshots of my invoices onto this site.
So in brief, this is what I've got so far.
Invoice 1: 51kWH = £16.45 , VAT £3.29, Part Monthly Fee £7.29, DE VAT £1.39, Gross Total £28.42
"Your remaining voucher balance £108.55"
Invoice 2: (45.8 kWh = £15.65 + 25.07 kWh = £8.15) Total Amount £23.80, VAT £4.76, Monthly Fee £14.13, DE VAT £2.68, Gross Total £45.37
"Your remaining voucher balance £84.75
Invoice 3: No charging, Monthly Fee £14.13, 19.9% VAT DE £2.68, Gross Total £16.81
No remaining voucher balance shown/entered.
None of this makes sense to me, I queried the monthly charge with eCS and they said it doesn't get charged.
All I know is that I've taken onboard close to 122kWh charging and I have £84 or left remaining.
This would be £12+ using my Pod Point at home.
It's more the fact you are given £150 credit, but it disappears far quicker than you expect.
I certainly won't be continuing with this after the 12 month offer period.

Depending on your route back to the Midlands there is a good charger at Branksome Tesco in Westbourne which should see you all the way up to midlands. Its a Pod Point one so 28p a kw.
