Under the bonnet

Our car is in for some paint protection and they think something has been left out from under the bonnet (a cover over the grill area). Does anyone have a picture of theirs so I can compare before going back to Audi. Thank you.

Ours in for repair but I'm 99% sure it looked like this -

That's great thank you. This is the image he sent us, which I think looks the same.

Yeah it's pretty basic really, I don't even know what any of it does 😅

Just don't fill the screen wash up on a very windy day as I did and it blew the strut holding it up out and came crashing down, thankfully I had just moved! Guess dont use it much but was expecting a hydraulic boot lid, but mine looks like those pictures too

Cannot believe not hydraulic bonnet, on a car the price it is. Evidence of more cost cutting by Audi. Annoying really.

If it's just cost cutting it's annoying I admit, but are you sure it's not for weight savings? every little helps on these EVs for people panicking about range, and those hydraulic gas struts are beefy...

I know, to my untrained eye, doesn't look too dissimilar to normal combustion engine.

I thought that, but then I have only opened it once since I got it in October so probably does same some weight and isn't used that much.
