Hi,

When you say cash buyer, I appreciate that not everyone wants finance, but the trick is to take out the finance to get the Audi finance contribution towards the cost of the car, especially as discounts are almost non existent. Then when you take delivery of the car, call the finance company and say you want to ‘withdraw’ from the finance - not settle. You have a legal right to do this within 14 days of signing the agreement. The interest is only a few pounds per day so it’s worth doing. I’ve done this many times, so saved myself a lot of money. And don’t tell the dealer you plan to do this as they can get grumpy.

Thanks Tony.
Might give Pod point a call Monday. Worth a call to ask.

That was the latest from my dealer on 13th Jan. My order is through Harold Wood.

I appreciate you're trying to save me some money, I did a similar thing a few years back with an A3 (although it took me a year of paying interest before pulling the trigger). The thing is there's no contribution from my dealer towards the finance. In fact I had a quick Google on new Q4 offers and only found one dealer offering £500 towards finance. Probably worth doing in normal times(no chip shortage etc). Congrats if you managed to get that kind of deal.

Hi,

I didn’t realise Audi has cut out the contributions. What with long delivery, increased prices, and lack of information from its dealers, this is another example of how badly Audi is treating their customers.

Lets face it AUDI know they have more demand than they can supply so why bother keeping good customer service, why bother giving incentives, lets increase the price and keep people waiting with poor communication because it doesnt matter. I have to admit I am shocked by this short sighted approach to managing customers over the last 6 months with these orders. Surely they must realise that customers will remember this experience the next time they buy a car. I phoned my company fleet department last week to see if I can change my order but was told there is nothing they can now do so I literally just have to sit and wait so I feel completely powerless. If I had put a private order in for this car I have to admit I think I would have cancelled it by this point as ive had enough of it.

Was anyone successful in getting their pod point installed by contacting them directly? Looking on the pod point website, it seems like they are prioritising manufacturers referrals but requires a special email to be sent with a unique link that activates the order. The deadline dates are early February and I’m not sure my fleet provider or company will push this through urgently.

Worst case I’ll be out of pocket £350 but would be nice to get it installed before April.

Hi All,

New to the forum here. Been watching this topic for the last few months as I have now got a q4 on order through my company. Estimated delivery date is 02/11/2022!!

Hopefully I get priority on my pod point before the grant expires. Does anyone know how to chase this with them?

Additionally, how have people been getting updates on their build dates etc? Is it emails from the dealer or through another channel?
I get emails from the dealer here at Derby Audi every few weeks, that delivery date is crazy...I would push POD installers directly if you can,

For anyone that has ordered recently, have Audi confirmed that they will install the pod point for free (without the grant). Their wording on the offer seems to have changed since last year. It doesn’t mention the grant anymore - perhaps because they can’t guarantee they will get installed before march especially since the offer has been extended to 31/03/22.

Hi. Just joined this after being shocked today with the delivery quote from Audi of 31st Jan next year. I fully expect 8 months or so but perhaps my ignorance prevented me from researching this. When questioned they came back with a vacant slot in November this year but aware that could change. The free podpoint was also a bonus i wasnt aware of.

Went for the SUV 40 sport with c&s plus tech pack through ALD which my company uses. Had a trying 3 years with a lexus nx300 that has had a number of issues.
