Hi
Does anyone have a Zappi v2 with solar install and can successful charge their Q4 in Eco+ (100%) mode.
Looking for hints and tips if there is anything in the zappi 2 settings I can adjust to stop the Zappi going into Charge Delayed mode. The Q4 really doesn’t like the intermittent solar charging but annoyingly when it gets into this state it means my scheduled overnight charge fails.
Thanks.

Hi Sash
Were you able to resolve this issue?
Thanks

No, I haven’t made any progress. I have updated firmware on the zappi and tried the time delay settings but once the Q4 puts the zappi into Charge Delayed that’s it until I unplug and re-plug. Very frustrating.

Yes, Zappi 2, solar and a solar battery. There are a great bunch on the GIvEnergy forum who were fabulous at helping me. The key settings on the Zappi are:
Eco+
MGL 50% (sets the level that the car will take from the grid - set at this so when the clouds come out you take a little bit of grid energy)
In grid/network settings, set to ‘Avoid Both’ to stop drain on house battery

Now when the car is plugged in, the Zappi waits for a surplus and then when the sun comes out, it starts charging (and I feel very smug)……

And smart boost if you have something like octopus which gives you a few low cost hours - I can’t get this as we cannot get a smart meter as we are in an area of no coverage

Does your Q4 and Zappi work happily with Eco+ then?

I share the pain.
My Q4 goes into charge delayed pretty much as soon as the domestic battery (DC coupled so using eco will drain the battery) is full and solar starts to be exported to the grid.
I have been in correspondence with Myenergi and have extracted from them the fact that this problem is believed to affect most of the VAG MEB based vehicles, including the Skoda Enyaq and VW ID range.
For a reason which I cannot yet ascertain, the initial charge offered to the car from the Zappi in eco+, fails to wake the car. Unlocking the car, or remotely amending the target charge in the My Audi app etc, wakes the car, which will then immediately accept the charge from the Zappi.
I am unable to get anything even vaguely helpful from Audi.
Until the Zappi can wake the car, and Myenergi insists this needs to be fixed by Audi, I can see no resolution.

I used to have issues of this nature between my Q4 and Zappi v2 but recent performance (past 2 months) has been solid not sure I've seen charge delayed once. I've assumed it's a combination of Zappi V5 firmware and by cars upgrade to MEB v3.

I posted above, after struggling with this charge delayed most of last year (until I just gave up and stopped using Eco+)
Car updated to 3812 in May and I haven’t had a problem since - even with all the Cloudy days we’ve had recently.
Haven’t updated firmware on Zappi
